Rock-Con 2011! My first singles 40k Tournament!

You guys! I am super excited!
Why?
Because I just signed up for Rock-Con 2011, which will have a Warhammer 40,000 Tournament!!

*psst* This image is also a link!
"Waidasecond, Skarvald, what's the big deal? I've attended thousands of conventions and played at a thousand and one tournaments, hurr durr!"

Well, this is going to be my first singles Warhammer 40,000 Tournament. At least the first one that actually matters, anyway. I am not sure if from my writings on this blog I seem competitive at all. I'd like to think so and hopefully it's not too off-putting to some. And yes, I do consider myself pretty competitive even though I lack the experience.

So far I've only attended two tournaments - Adepticon 2010 and Adepticon 2011, which were a blast! But as you probably know I showed up for the Team Tournament - as a quarter of team Mork Protekts ('10) and as a quarter (actually, a half) of team Razorback Spam ('11). I really liked the gaming environment and playing against new people from faraway lands. Even the pressure.

I guess I just like tournaments in general.

So what's the deal then?

The tournament is called The Gentlemen's Grand Tournament. It is a two day tournament with 5 games total. Three on day one (Saturday) and two on the second day (Sunday). It is a 1850 points Tournament and all models need to be painted and based. Well, you probably know what army I'll be bringing then, huh? Time to unleash the Thunderwolves, bros! They have been sitting in my case for the last few months but in less than a month I'm hoping to kick some major ass with Skarvald the Troll-faced and his brave retinue of Thunderwolves.

Rockford, Illinois prepare to be...
...ROCKED!

  5. That's what the Swedes from Team Sweden at Adepticon 2011 thought when they charged my Thundewolves with 5 TH/SS Terminators and a Venerable Dreadnought. Skarvald hit with 7 attacks, wounded with 7 attacks and killed all Terminators. :)

I love Terminators with SS. I love casting Jaws of the World Wolf on them as well. :P~
